A homeowner in Denver corrected my brush angle and it saved my back
Last month I was doing a routine sweep and the homeowner, a retired mason, watched me work. He said my rod angle was fighting the flue curve and I was pushing soot instead of lifting it. I changed to a 15 degree offset on my brush and the difference was night and day. Took half the time on that job and my shoulder stopped aching after two days. Now I check the flue bend before I even unload the truck. Anyone else get tips from customers that actually beat what your mentor taught you?
