The prep list said 12 cases of lemons. It was actually 12 pounds. I found out the hard way.
That was a Friday night before the brunch rush. The Sysco order came in and I had the new guy start juicing. The list had a zero missing and I didn't double check it. He was three hours in and sweating through his shirt when I finally looked at the actual invoice. Has anyone else had a typo on a prep list turn into a full afternoon of pointless lemon juice? Or is it just me and a giant container of citrus I'll never use.

Shoot, I'd say that's on the prep list and not you. A missing zero isn't a typo you can catch without cross-checking every line, and that's just plain bad luck.
