Hot take: the food truck line is overrated, the gas station burrito wins
Last Tuesday I waited 40 minutes for the trendy taco truck on 5th and paid $11 for a tiny tortilla with no flavor. Then I grabbed a $3.50 breakfast burrito from the Shell station on Maple, and it was stuffed with eggs, potatoes, and real salsa. Am I missing something, or are we all just paying for the Instagram vibe?

Gas station food gets way too much hate honestly. Those roller grill burritos have been quietly carrying the working class for decades, and nobody gives them credit. The taco truck crowd is paying for the story, the little paper wrapper with the logo, the photo op. But the Shell burrito has no ego, it just sits there and delivers every single time. Maybe the real move is buying the gas station burrito and eating it right outside the taco truck just to see the looks you get.
