Old school repair guy told me to bake my dead video card. I did it and it worked for 8 months.
Back in 2018 my GeForce card started showing green artifacts on screen. A guy named Jerry on a vintage PC forum said to strip it down, put it in the oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes to reflow the solder. I was desperate and did it, and it actually worked fine until the card finally died 8 months later. Has anyone else tried the oven trick or did I just get lucky with that one?

Jerry knew his stuff, the oven trick is basically a poor man's reflow station that rebonds cracked solder joints under the GPU die. Did you strip the card all the way down to bare board first, or leave the plastic shroud on while baking it?
