Lost $340 on a used kicker and now I check every machine before I buy
Saw a used power stretcher listed on marketplace for $340 and the guy swore it only had maybe 20 jobs on it. Drove out to his place in Tacoma, handed over cash, got it home, and the motor bogged down on the very first stretch. Took it to my repair guy and he said the internals were shot, probably from running it dry for years, and a rebuild would run me more than a new one. I ate the loss, sold it for parts for $60, and now I make every seller run the tool in front of me before any money changes hands. Any of you got a checklist you run through when buying used gear off marketplace?
