Should I take a pay cut to leave my toxic office job?

I've been at this accounting firm in Columbus for 5 years, and last month my manager told me I'm 'not a team player' because I leave at 5pm to pick up my kids. I've got an offer from a smaller nonprofit that pays $8,000 less but has flexible hours and a shorter commute. Has anyone else made this kind of trade and regretted it, or was the peace of mind worth it?
