Made a similar blunder last year. Rushed into a side hustle without a plan and lost a chunk of cash. Now I always map things out first, even if it feels slow.

How much time do you spend on the map before you start? I used to just dive in and hope for the best, which worked about as well as you'd guess. Now I force myself to write a stupid simple list of steps, or I'll repeat all the same mistakes.

Honestly, what does your map look like now? Like when you say you map things out, do you mean you write down all the steps first, or you just think it through for a few days?
