PSA: a 3 minute chat in a Boise parking lot got me a $7/hr raise
I ran into my old supervisor Dave at a coffee stand off State Street in Boise back in March, and he asked what I was making now. I told him the number, and he just laughed and said the company had posted that same role at $5 more two years earlier. I went back to my desk that Monday, printed out the job posting, and asked for a sit down with my manager. Has anyone else had a stranger or an old boss spill the real pay range by accident?
