I finally switched to a portfolio website after 15 years of just emailing PDFs

Back in 2008 I would send out 12-page PDF portfolios to every job application, carefully formatted in InDesign. Last month I put together a simple WordPress site with maybe 8 projects on it and already got two callbacks. Has anyone else noticed employers actually prefer looking at a quick website over a long document?

Yeah I was all about PDFs too but you're right, the website is way better.

Wait, you're saying the website actually works better than the PDF? I gotta be honest, I've been team PDF for years, so that's surprising.
