Am I the only one who thought mock interviews were a waste until a recruiter in Austin proved me wrong?
I always rolled my eyes at the idea of practicing interviews out loud, it felt fake and pointless. Then last month a recruiter named Dana at a small shop in Austin made me do one over video and recorded it, and wow I said "um" 34 times in 10 minutes. Watching that back was brutal but it actually fixed how I start every answer. Anyone else had a practice run show them something they hated seeing?
