A manager's 2-word note changed my whole resume strategy
Back in 2017 I was applying to places in Austin and getting zero callbacks. Then a hiring manager I knew from a bar gig looked at my resume and wrote 'too vague' in the margins. He pointed at my bullet about 'responsible for sales growth' and said nobody knows what that means. I switched everything to numbers. Like instead of 'managed inventory' it became 'cut stock waste by 18% in 6 months'. Took me a weekend to redo it. First interview came within 2 weeks. Anyone else get feedback that made you rewrite everything? What was the line that hit you?
