Paid $240 for a car capsule last winter and it saved my paint, but there's a catch
I store my 1998 BMW M3 in a buddy's barn in Allentown every winter, and two seasons back mice chewed through my car cover and scratched the roof. So I dropped $240 on a sealed car capsule with a blower fan that keeps it inflated and keeps rodents and moisture out. It worked great, the car came out in March looking like it did in October, but the fan runs 24/7 and added about $15 a month to my electric bill. Only downside is you need a power source nearby, otherwise the whole thing deflates and you're back to square one. Anyone else running one of these, and did you have issues with the zipper getting stiff in cold weather?

Wait, the fan has to run 24/7 the whole time? That would drive me nuts just thinking about it. So if the power goes out during an ice storm in Allentown, the whole capsule turns into a deflated tarp sitting on your roof? That seems like a lot of trust to put in a buddy's barn wiring for four months.
