Used to clean old shutter blades with lighter fluid until a pro told me I was ruining the lubricant.
Switched to isopropyl alcohol and a careful wipe-down after seeing how much residue the lighter fluid left on a 1950s Argus C3 last winter how do you guys prep blade assemblies for re-lube?

Naphtha does the same thing if you're not careful, so a good rinse after cleaning helps a ton.
