TIL a $15 blower brush beats my fancy compressor setup for sensor dust
Been fighting stubborn sensor spots on a Nikon D850 for weeks, tried every swab and solution. Bought one of those squeeze bulb blowers at a camera fair in Portland and the first puff cleared it right off, no air line needed. Has anyone else found the low tech tool that wins over the expensive gear?

A bulb blower is great for loose dust but it does nothing for the stuff that's actually stuck to the sensor, and that is where the swabs and a good wet clean come in. You got lucky this time because whatever was on there was still sitting loose. Give it a month of lens changes in a dusty field and that bulb will just push the stuck particles around. A compressor is overkill for most people though, so no argument there, a rocket blower plus a couple of swabs covers 95 percent of real world cases.
