Pro tip: screwdriver shaft length matters more than you think

Spent 40 minutes fighting a stuck helical gear in a Pentax Spotmatic because my short shaft screwdriver kept slipping at that angle. Swapped to a 6 inch precision driver and it came out in one turn, has anyone else had a stubborn screw that only gave in with the right tool length?

Man, I've stripped more screws with the wrong length than I care to admit, so this hits home hard.
