My fast fungus cleanup actually wrecked a client's favorite lens
I thought alcohol wipes were fine until they stripped the coating on a vintage lens. Now I only use lens-specific fluid, what about you?

As a cleaner, I've had my share of oops moments with the wrong products. Thankfully nothing as precious as a vintage lens, but it still stings.

My buddy learned the hard way after cleaning his grandpa's old camera with glass cleaner. Totally hazed the coating, and it was never the same. Reading @hunt.pat's post about wrong products just brought that whole mess right back. Kinda makes you double-check every bottle under the sink now.
