Appreciation post: 8 months of callbacks on one street until I watched a rookie terminate a fitting

I kept getting called back to the same 4 houses on Cherry Ln for pixelation and I blamed the old RG6 runs every time. Last Tuesday I watched the new guy strip the jacket back a full inch before the connector and realized I had been cutting the braid flush and losing the shield contact for 3 whole years. Any of you got a trick for keeping the foil intact when the jacket is that stiff old stuff?
