PSA: I zip tied my TV cables into one big loop and made the buzzing worse

Back in my first apartment in 2011 I had like 8 cables behind my TV and they drove me nuts, so I bundled every single one tight with about 15 zip ties into one fat snake. The buzz through my speakers got way worse, and a guy at the Radio Shack on 5th told me I was basically building one giant antenna. These days I keep power lines separate from audio and use velcro straps instead, way easier when I need to swap something. Has anyone else made the tangle worse by trying too hard to fix it?
