My buddy who does AV installs looked at my TV wall and asked one thing that made me redo all of it
Honestly I thought my setup was fine until my friend Rob came over to watch the game. He does AV installs for a living and he just stared at the back of my TV for a second and asked, do you ever need to unplug anything back there? I said yeah, my soundbar cuts out sometimes. He pulled the TV off the wall and showed me how all 9 of my cables were just hanging loose and tangled in one big knot behind the drywall hole, so every time I wanted to swap something I had to yank the whole mess. He said a guy at his shop in Sacramento taught him to loop each cable and velcro it to the mount arm so nothing crosses, and it took me like 20 minutes with a $7 roll of velcro tape from the hardware store. Now I can pull one cord out without touching the other 8. Do you all label yours too or is that overkill? I keep wondering if I should have used the little zip ties instead because the velcro feels a bit bulky back there.
