I used to worship wire organizers, now I'm a velcro strip person

For years I bought those plastic cable sleeves and clips, spent around $40 on them for my computer desk. Last month I helped my brother move and he just wrapped each cord with a 10 cent velcro strip, labeled the ends with a marker. It took me a hot minute to admit it, but his setup was easier to change and way less stiff than mine. Has anyone else gone back to basics after wasting money on fancy solutions?
