Bought a $60 cable spine kit, ended up using velcro from the dollar store
Last month I got one of those fancy split sleeve things to tame my desk rats nest. Took me two hours to feed every wire through and it looked great for about a week, then I swapped one monitor and had to rip the whole thing apart. The $2 roll of adhesive velcro strips from the dollar store does the same job in five minutes and I can actually change stuff. Anyone else bought a fancy solution that made things worse before going simple?
The swap thing kills me too. I did the whole sleeve thing on my TV setup and the second I added a soundbar it was game over. Now I just bundle runs with velcro every foot or so and leave a little slack loop at each end, so if I need to move one thing I only undo two straps instead of the whole run. Takes ten seconds and nothing ever gets tangled back up.
