Unpopular opinion: watching a guy at the Grand Rapids show hand-cut dovetails sold me on slowing down
Sat in on a demo at the woodworking show in Grand Rapids last month and the guy cut a full set of dovetails by hand in about 12 minutes with a $30 saw. I've been running a jig for years but seeing how clean his pins came out made me pull mine off the shelf and actually try it. Any of you made the switch, or am I about to waste a bunch of poplar practicing?
