Old man at the lumber yard in Macon told me to feel the board before I look at the price
Stopped by a yard in Macon about 4 months ago for some poplar and this older guy running the counter grabbed a board, ran his hand down the face, and said "your eyes will lie to you but your fingers won't." I've caught more twist and snipe since then just by running a hand over stock before it goes on the truck. Does anybody else still do the hand check or am I just turning into that guy?
