Spent $13 on a drain snake at Harbor Freight and it saved me a $400 plumber visit
Kitchen sink quit draining on a Sunday night, standing water and everything. Plumber quoted me $400 just to come out, so I figured I had nothing to lose and grabbed a $13 hand snake from Harbor Freight. Took me about 45 minutes of cranking and swearing, but I pulled out a golf ball sized wad of grease and old rice. Water went down so fast I actually laughed. The snake bent all to hell by the end, but who cares for 13 bucks. Now the thing sits in my garage as a trophy. Anyone else got a cheap tool that paid for itself on the first use?
