Shoutout to the 4 inch drywall patch that turned into a $600 bathroom mess
Cut a 4 inch hole in my bathroom wall to fix a leaky pipe, thought I'd just slap a patch on it and be done by dinner. Two days and $600 later I'm ripping out tile because the drywall behind it was soaked and crumbling. So here's my debate: do you patch and pray, or open the whole wall every time, because I honestly can't tell which one hurts less.
