Just figured out why my DIY patch jobs keep cracking, it's the joint compound
Kept wondering why my drywall patches at my place in Cleveland kept hairline cracking after a month, and a guy at the hardware counter said I was loading on the compound too thick instead of doing 3 thin coats. Anyone else learn that the hard way, or am I the only one slapping it on like frosting?
