Why does nobody talk about the supply wall at the Orlando planner meetup?
Stopped by the planner meetup at the library on Colonial Drive last Saturday and saw something that bugged me. About 20 people were there, and the swap table had maybe 60 rolls of washi tape and 30 sticker sheets, most of it already half used. What caught my eye was a sign taped to the wall saying supplies were "free to a good home" with no date or rules on it. If you are juggling a tight budget like me, that table can eat a whole month's supply money in 10 minutes flat before you even sit down to plan. Does your local group have any kind of limit on what folks can grab, or is it every person for themselves?
Skip the free table if you can't resist grabbing everything, because a sign with no limits basically means the first people there take it all. That wall is a trap for tight budgets (ask me how I know). Set a rule for yourself before you walk in the door.
