Talked to my grandma about her old Filofax and it hit different
She mentioned she's been using the same monthly spreads since 1987, no fussing with layouts or collections. Made me realize I spend more time setting up my journal than actually using it. Anybody else ever catch themselves decorating more than tracking?

Roll your eyes all you want but grandma's just living life while you're out here stressing over washi tape alignment. People act like bullet journaling is some sacred ritual that'll solve all their problems. It's just a notebook with doodles. If it takes you three hours to pick a color scheme for your weekly spread you're missing the point entirely. Grandma's been writing doctor appointments and grocery lists in the same binder for decades and she's fine. Maybe the real productivity hack is just using the damn thing instead of curating it.
