Had a perfect bullet journal week and it weirded me out

Ngl last week my journaling flow was unreal. I landed every single appointment and deadline on the first go and didn't have to rewrite a single entry. Even my weekly spread with the yard crew schedule held up for once. It's like my brain finally clicked with the system after 4 months of messing up. Anyone else get suspicious when things go too smooth in their bujo?

That smooth streak is actually a trap - you're probably being too rigid and not seeing the spots where you fudged a date or missed a small task. A perfect week in bullet journaling usually means you're either rewriting things mentally before catching them on paper or you're just skipping over the little failures that actually make the system work. The whole point of bujo is to catch your messes and adapt to them, not to achieve some flawless record that'll fall apart the second real life throws a wrench in things.

Exactly, you nailed it with that part about "skipping over the little failures." I've been there, thinking my week was perfect until I realized I just got really good at forgetting to log the things that went wrong. Like last month, I had this flawless spread but completely ignored that I missed a deadline and just moved my migration to the next day without noting the reason. The real trick I've found, @taylorcarr, is to actually leave space for the messy stuff, like a little "oops" section where you write down what didn't get done without judging it. Then you can look back and see where you keep tripping up, not just where you slid by.
