Calendar spreads in my bujo finally make sense after 3 years

I kept seeing people use calendar spreads for future logging but never got the point. Last week I was planning out a family road trip from Austin to Flagstaff with like 14 stops and my usual list format turned into a mess. I tried a two page calendar spread with each week as a row and little boxes for each day. It hit me that I could see gaps and overlaps at a glance instead of scrolling through my messy monthly log. The trick was color coding by category, red for lodging, blue for activities, green for driving. Now I'm using the same layout for work deadlines and it's way better than my old rapid logging. Anyone else find calendar spreads click after years of ignoring them? What do you put in the tiny daily boxes?

my buddy tried this exact thing for his wedding planning and said the same thing, it finally clicked when he could see the whole month at once and just color coded everything. he said the tiny boxes turned into a game of fitting stuff in there, like "okay haircut wednesday 3pm" and it worked way better than his old bullet list. honestly i think he just liked the excuse to buy more pens lol
