Dropped $240 on a prebuilt mini ITX case and it fought me the entire build
Spent two weekends trying to cram a regular ATX power supply into that thing and ended up buying a smaller one anyway, so the case basically cost me $340 total. The GPU barely fit and I had to take the side panel off just to close it. Anyone got a case they actually enjoyed building in around the $100 range?

It's the same story with everything marketed as "small" or "compact" these days. You pay extra for less space and then spend twice the effort making it work. Same thing happened to me with a tiny apartment fridge, cost more than a normal one and my milk barely fit on the shelf. Or those travel-sized tools that are supposed to be handy and just end up being a pain. Smaller almost always means more money and more headaches, not less.
