One comment about my fan curves changed my whole approach to cooling
Someone on here pointed out that my radiator fans were set to ramp off the CPU temp, not the water temp, and that's why my coolant was sitting at 40C while my CPU was at 45C. I spent 4 months chasing noise and thermals, swapping fans and re-applying paste, but the fix was going into the BIOS and tying everything to the coolant sensor. After that, the fans actually settle into a nice steady hum under gaming loads instead of constantly surging. Anyone else had a similar 'oh duh' moment about which temp sensor they were using?

Cant believe you ran 4 months on the wrong sensor.
