Had a guy at a LAN party roast me about my fan orientation
He pointed out all three of my case fans were set to exhaust and I was basically suffocating my GPU. Swapped two of them to intake the next morning and my temps dropped by 8 degrees under load. Anyone else had a simple airflow fix make that big a difference?

That's a great reminder for everyone. I had almost the exact same problem with my own build a couple years back. I had two 140mm fans up top and one in the back all pushing air out, and my graphics card was hitting 85 degrees in games. I flipped the front two fans around to pull air in through the mesh, and my GPU dropped to around 76. Simple fix that made a world of difference.

Damn, 8 degrees from just flipping a couple fans? That's a wild difference. I feel you on that, I had the same thing happen with my old build. Had a single 120mm intake and two exhausts, my GPU was cooking at 82c. Swapped the top fan to intake and dropped to 73c. Feels pretty stupid when you realize how easy it was to fix, but hey, thats how you learn. Airflow is one of those things that seems simple but really messes with temps if you get it wrong. Glad you caught it early.
