Scored a $15 timing light at the swap meet in Modesto, and the old guy threw in a dwell meter
He told me nobody wants this stuff anymore since everyone went EFI, so now my ignition tuning kit is set for less than the cost of one shop hour, and I'm wondering what other "obsolete" tools are basically free at these meets.
Is there really a big market of free tools out there though? Seems like every swap meet I hit, the "obsolete" stuff still has a price tag, and the guys selling it know exactly what they got. Maybe you got lucky with one old timer in a good mood, but I wouldn't count on free dwell meters and vacuum gauges piling up at every meet. Half those tools end up on eBay the next week marked up anyway.
