My neighbor waved at my Granada and got me to stop buying parts for a month
I was out in the driveway two Saturdays ago in Tucson, staring at a pile of new parts for my 1977 Granada. My neighbor Miguel walked over, looked at the boxes, and asked how many of them I had actually bolted on. I counted and it was two out of eleven, about $340 worth of stuff still sitting there. He laughed and said his brother has four project trucks and not one of them runs. I sat down on the curb and it kind of hit me that I had been buying parts to feel like I was making progress. Now I have a rule where I have to finish one job before I order anything new. Has anyone else gotten stuck in a buying loop like this, and what got you out of it?
