I finally picked the $12 cordless lamp over a $200 electrician visit
My living room outlet died last week and I had to choose between calling a pro or just buying one of those rechargeable floor lamps from Target, so I grabbed the lamp and honestly it looks kind of cool in the corner. Has anyone else dodged a real fix with a temporary lighting hack that you just kept forever?

Wait, you paid twelve dollars for a lamp and that fixed the whole problem? Twelve bucks. That's less than the cost of a pack of decent batteries. That's insane in the best possible way.
