Chose peel and stick tiles over real ones for my rental kitchen, saved $400 and 2 weekends
My kitchen floor in this rental was this awful brown linoleum with a burn mark near the stove, and my landlord said fix it yourself or live with it. I got quotes for real vinyl tile and it was gonna run about $500 plus two weekends of work, so I tried the peel and stick kind from the hardware store for $80 instead. I watched like four videos, spent one Saturday on it, and honestly it looks pretty good unless you get down on your hands and knees. Six months in and only one tile popped up near the dishwasher, and I just pressed it back down with a little extra adhesive. Anyone else gone the cheap route and had it actually hold up, or am I gonna regret this in a year?
