That $12 spice rack at the thrift store paid for itself in one meal

Picked up a full 12-jar spice rack for $12 at a Goodwill in Cincinnati and realized I had been paying $3-4 per jar at the regular market. Made a batch of chili last night that wouldve cost me $15 in spices alone, so this thing basically paid for itself already. Anyone else score kitchen gear secondhand and find it works better than the fancy new stuff?

Tbh I gotta disagree on the math here. That chili wouldve cost you $15 if you bought every jar fresh, but most people only use a pinch of cumin and a shake of oregano, so the actual cost per meal is like 50 cents. Those thrift store spices are also usually old as hell, half the time they taste like dust and cardboard. I picked up a similar rack once and everything smelled like the previous owner's basement, ended up tossing most of it.
