My coworker said she feeds her family of 4 on $60 a week and I don't get how
I was eating lunch with Dana from accounting on Tuesday and she mentioned her grocery bill is about $60 a week for her, her husband, and two kids. I spend almost that much just on myself and I'm not even buying anything fancy. She said the trick is she plans meals around whatever meat is marked down and builds the whole week off that. She also said she buys dried beans instead of cans and makes a big pot on Sunday that turns into like three different dinners. I asked her to write down a sample week for me because I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Does anyone here shop this way, and what does your actual week of dinners look like?
