My $4 bag of rice lasted 3 days and then I saw the pantry moth trail

Last Tuesday I opened my bulk bin rice and found little web clumps crawling near the top, turns out a bag I bought from the discount market on 4th Street had eggs already in it. I tossed the whole thing and now I freeze every grain bag for 48 hours before it goes in the cabinet. Has anyone else dealt with pantry moths from those clearance bins, or am I just lucky?

Heard this one before from a buddy who swears by freezing everything for a week, not just two days. Those discount bins are a gamble for sure, seems like eggs can hide in there no matter how fresh the bag looks.
