I stopped coiling cables over-under and my micro USB ports finally stopped dying
For years I wrapped every cord around my hand and elbow, and I went through 6 micro USB cables in 8 months because the ends kept fraying right at the plug. Last March in my Denver apartment I switched to the over-under coil after a guitar shop guy showed me the trick, and the same 2 cables have lasted 14 months now. Is it just me or do those little plastic strain reliefs fail way faster when you wrap tight, and has anyone found a cheap clip that actually holds the coil in place?
