A buddy in Austin caught my cable knot habit and I'm grateful

My friend Dave watched me tie my HDMI cord in a loop for storage and called it a future tragedy, said I was begging for a bent pin. He showed me how to use a velcro strap and coil it loose instead, and I stopped killing a cable every 6 months. Anyone else have a buddy call out their bad cable habit before it cost them a new screen?
