Update: my $70 Craigslist mower died twice last month, so now I'm torn on fixing it vs. buying new
Three weeks ago in Toledo I picked up a used push mower for $70 and it fired up fine, but last month the pull cord snapped and then the carb started leaking gas in my garage. Half my brain says a new $12 cord and a $15 carb kit is the whole point of this community, but the other half keeps pointing at my neighbor's $180 clearance mower and saying I'm dumping money into a dead end. Where do you all draw the line on fixing cheap stuff, is it repair cost vs. new price or is it how many times you've already been back into it?
