Just realized my $40 junkyard alternator was made in 2003 and still tests perfect
Pulled it off a wrecked Civic in San Antonio thinking it'd be dead in a week, but the guy at the parts store put it on his tester and it held 14.2 volts under load. Makes me wonder how many 'bad' parts I've tossed that just needed new brushes, anyone else got a junkyard win like this?
