Spent 3 hours Tuesday cutting brick with the trowel upside down before my lead asked why my edges looked so rough
He flipped my trowel over and showed me the bevel was facing away from the brick the whole time, which is why my cuts kept crushing instead of shearing. How long did it take you guys to figure out your trowel had a right way up?

Trowel bevel direction matters way less than your wrist angle honestly.
