My level came loose mid-wall, caught it before it got expensive

Set my 6-foot level down for a second last Tuesday and didn't notice the vial had shifted until I was three courses high, pulled all 40 bricks just to be safe. Has anyone else dealt with a level that drifts after getting knocked around in the truck?
