PSA: The guy at the nursery called my fern 'dramatic' and I have not stopped thinking about it
I was at Riverside Nursery on Saturday picking up potting soil when I heard an employee tell a customer her maidenhair fern was "just being dramatic, like always." She laughed and bought it anyway, and I stood there holding a 40 lb bag of soil feeling weirdly called out. Mine dropped half its leaves in March and I spent two weeks blaming my tap water, my window, and my cat. Turns out these plants just do that sometimes and bounce back, which would have saved me a lot of stress if someone had said it to my face. So what is the most dramatic plant in your house right now, and did it ever come back from looking dead?
