Question about that $18 corner rounder I almost returned, now I use it on every board
I bought a cheap corner rounder at a bindery swap in Dayton 4 months ago and figured it would chew up board more than help. After 30 or so cases I tried it on a run of 60 sketchbooks and it cut cleaner corners than my $90 punch, so now I reach for it first. My mentor says hand tools like that are just a crutch and you should learn to pare corners with a knife. Is a cheap corner rounder a real shop tool or am I just bad at knives?
