Am I the only one who noticed the hand sewn bindings at the Boston Public Library's rare book room?
I was there last month for a free tour and got to see a 1640s family Bible where the binder had hidden tiny decorative knots along the spine that you can only spot up close. Has anyone else seen old bindings in person that made them rethink how they do their own work?

Did that tour get you hooked too? I know what you mean about seeing old bindings in person, it really does make you look at your own stitches differently.
