A guy at a bindery in Cleveland said my grain direction was wrong and I had to redo 40 signatures
I was folding 40 signatures for a 300 page rebind job and thought I had it all right until this old guy said my grain was running the wrong way on the spine. I argued with him for 10 minutes, then checked and he was right, so now I always test fold direction before I even cut boards. Do you trust your gut on grain or do you always do a test fold first?

That "old guy said my grain was wrong" moment hits home, had the same thing happen with a batch last year.
